We are calling on our elected officials and the Chicago Department of Transportation to immediately begin construction on a Green Line station at Western Avenue. We believe that such a station would fill a critical gap in Chicago's transit network, and would both maximize the potential of our existing transit infrastructure and provide additional, faster options for getting around the city.
With construction costs increasing, it is critical that the city of Chicago makes the most out of the infrastructure it already has. Building a connection from the Green Line to the Western Avenue bus corridor would help facilitate transfers and make the Green Line more viable as a connection from the northwest side to downtown and West Loop.
Help us get this station built!
